Overview

A&B provides all employees who travel on company business with Business Travel Accident (BTA) Insurance. You do not pay for this coverage, nor do you elect it when you enroll in FlexSolutions; you will automatically be enrolled.

BTA Insurance pays benefits for death or bodily injury caused by an accident that occurs while you are traveling on authorized company business.

This benefit is paid in addition to any Employee Life and/or AD&D benefits payable to you or your beneficiaries, respectively.

Twenty-four hour coverage starts when you begin a planned business trip by leaving your home, work or other location. Coverage ends when you return to your regular place of work or home, whichever occurs first.

Coverage for air travel is limited and certain exclusions apply. Also, while regular commuting to and from work is not covered by the BTA Plan, other activities that may be associated with your work may be covered. For more information, contact your local Human Resources representative.
