OverviewDependent Life Insurance pays a benefit to you in the event a covered dependent dies. This benefit is designed to pay the expenses arising from the dependent's death, and is voluntary—you are not required to elect this coverage for your dependents. However, as noted under The Cost Of Coverage, if you elect this optional coverage, you must pay for it on an after-tax basis. Individuals who meet the FlexSolutions eligibility requirements as outlined under Who Is Eligible are eligible for coverage under the Dependent Life Insurance Plan.* * The provision that extends health care coverage to a disabled dependent child beyond the maximum age for coverage (19, or 25 if a full-time student) does not apply to the Dependent Life Insurance Plan. Also, dependents who are in full-time active military service are not eligible for this coverage. |
